Course Descriptions


Acro

Rhythmic gymnastic passes and aerial movement improve agility and strength. All acro classes are offered at a fixed tuition rate to cover additional staff and equipment.

Baby Steps

A caregiver and child course for toddlers 18-30 months. Nurture an existing bond as children explore locomotor development and music appreciation.

Ballet

The foundation of dance technique. Classical study promotes balance, posture, and poise.

Broadway

A perpetual style that parallels musical theatre and silver screen vernacular. Jazz enrollment is required.

Clog

Energetic dancing in clog shoes, accenting rhythmic beats with lifted knee and leg movement.

Contemporary

Abstract movement that defies the force of gravity. Ballet enrollment is required.

Crown

The Spotlight Intensive Team. Prospective applicants should inquire with the director about membership.

Heels

Jazz technique in high heel character shoes studying vernacular from musical theatre and today's current industry. Ballet enrollment required.

Hip Hop

Contemporary streetwise funk as seen in music videos. Jazz enrollment is recommended.

Jazz

An evolving discipline that models popular social dance steps. Ballet enrollment is required.

Lyrical

Poetic movement that enhances flexibility and stimulates musical awareness. Enrollment in ballet required.

National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA)

National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) is a nationally recognized, philanthropic organization for dance students in grades 6-12. Members meet twice a month. All dancers are welcome to join. Inquire with the director.

Ninjas

Acrobatic skills and fun obstacle courses. With elementary parkour training: rolls, spins, jumps, & kicks, ninjas gain speed, agility, and flexibility. Ninja classes are offered at a fixed tuition rate to cover additional staff and equipment.

Open Acro

Sixty minutes of self practice for students enrolled in Mini Acro through Aerial Acro. Watch our social media for dates and opportunities.

Pointe

A classical study for the aspiring ballerina. Students must be nine years of age, trained for two consecutive years, and have instructor’s endorsement to participate. Ballet is required.

Pom

Drill team and kick line progressions. Flashy, precise movement using pom-poms.

Rotating Sessions

Rotating Sessions are 45-minute classes that meet once a week for 6 weeks. Genres may include: Leaps & Turns, Acro Clinics, Pilates, Stretch, Adult Tap, Adult Chair Dance, and more. Rotating sessions are offered at a fixed tuition rate.

Student Leadership Team

A leadership channel for student ambassadors and teaching assistants. By invitation only. Prospective students should inquire with the director.

Tap

Traditional and contemporary techniques of a rhythmic, percussive movement. 

TechX

A fitness regime designed with weekly, cross-training exercises using a variety of techniques: Pilates, Tabata, Progressive Ballet Technique, yoga, Sugar Foot, classical ballet, and more. TechX features essential educational equipment and is offered at a fixed tuition rate.
